Process
How a repair visit works
Four steps, no surprises, and a number on paper before a part is ordered.
From the first call to the last screw
-
01
You describe the symptom
Model and serial number if you can find them, and what changed. Half of what we need is in the sentence before "and then it stopped".
-
02
Flat diagnostic
$80, one fee, whatever the appliance and however long the fault takes to isolate. It is credited in full toward the repair if you go ahead.
-
03
A written estimate
Parts, labour and lead time, in writing, before anything is ordered. You are free to stop there; the diagnostic still bought you a real answer.
-
04
The repair
Genuine OEM parts. 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts. If the same fault returns inside the labour window, the return visit is not billed.
What each step is allowed to cost

What does each step cost?
Step one is the flat fee. Steps three and four fall in the bands below, and you see the figure before either begins.
| Work | Parts and labour |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic visit | $80 flat, credited |
| Igniter or spark module replacement | $190–$500 |
| Burner valve or orifice service | $210–$650 |
| Oven thermostat or temperature sensor | $170–$520 |
| Convection fan or motor | $250–$730 |
Bands, not quotes: they are what this work has actually cost, parts and labour together, from $80 at the door to the firm figure that goes on paper after the diagnosis. The whole table
- What does a Wolf repair cost in St. Johns County?
- A flat $80 to diagnose, credited to the repair, then the band the failed part sits in: Igniter or spark module replacement runs $190–$500, burner valve or orifice service $210–$650, parts and labour together. Nothing is ordered before you have that in writing.
- What is covered after the work is done?
- 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. Dated from the invoice, and a return visit for the same fault inside the labour window is not billed again. EPA Section 608 certified technicians handle anything involving refrigerant.
- When is replacing cheaper than repairing?
- Replacing instead of repairing runs $5,200–$10,500 (wall oven or built-in oven, the usual repair-or-replace comparison) or $8,500–$16,500 (dual-fuel or gas range, 36 inch and up). A comparable Wolf range, rangetop or wall oven, appliance only — before delivery, installation, ventilation or cabinetry. National appliance pricing, not Florida labour.
What we are, and what we are not
Coquina Hearth Service is an independent shop. We work on Wolf appliances only, which is why the bench is deep on them and empty of everything else.
Section 608 is the federal certification required to handle refrigerant. It is a technician credential, not a manufacturer endorsement. We hold it; we do not hold, and do not claim, any standing with the manufacturer.
The numbers behind each step are set out in full on the pricing page and the warranty page, and the questions that come up before a booking are on the questions page.

Visits, start to finish
4.3 out of 5, across 87 customer reviews. Each entry below is one visit, in the words of the person who paid for it.
Steam came out of the wand in spurts and then stopped altogether. He cleared a scaled jet, checked the boiler against what the plate calls for, and left it working. A day later than the date first given.

The griddle plate had never heated evenly since the day it went in. He found a clip missing at one end, so the element was sitting off the plate, refitted it properly and now it browns evenly.
Delphina Y.
The built-in coffee unit stopped pushing water through and just groaned at us. He descaled it properly, renewed the brew unit seals and showed me our grind was too fine. It needed a second trip.
