Coquina Hearth Service Independent Wolf appliance repair in St. Augustine

About

One manufacturer, one county, no borrowed authority

Coquina Hearth Service has repaired Wolf cooking appliances in St. Johns County since 2019. It is an independent business, and the whole shape of it follows from that.

Plate What the van carries decides how often a second visit is needed, which is most of the argument for working on one make instead of every make.
Scope

Why the bench is this narrow

There are two ways to run a repair business. One is to cover everything and look things up on the way to the call. The other is to cover very little and recognise the fault from the sentence the customer says on the phone.

We chose the second. Wolf cooking appliances, and nothing else: ranges and rangetops, built-in wall ovens, cooktops, convection steam ovens, hoods and their blowers, and built-in coffee systems. If the fault is in something else in your kitchen we will tell you on the phone and not sell you a visit.

The narrowness is the product. The same sealed burner assembly, the same steam generator, the same blower housing, week after week — that is what turns a diagnosis into a five-minute job instead of an afternoon of elimination. It is also why the van carries the parts it carries.

Independence

What we hold, and what we will not claim

The second list matters more than the first.

EPA Section 608
Section 608 is the federal certification required to handle refrigerant. It is a technician credential, not a manufacturer endorsement.
Liability insurance
Carried on every visit. Ask and we will send the certificate before the appointment rather than after the accident.
A written estimate policy
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour is billed.
A warranty in writing
90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. Dated from the invoice, not from the phone call.

What we do not hold is any standing with the manufacturer, and we will not imply one. There is no logo on this site, no brand typeface, no brand colour, and no claim of appointment, endorsement or training by anyone but ourselves. Every mention of Wolf on these pages exists to identify the appliances we repair, which is the only thing trademark law lets an independent shop use a mark for.

Coquina Hearth Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Wolf or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

The practical consequence is worth stating plainly: we cannot carry out a repair under the manufacturer's own warranty. If your appliance is still inside that period, call them, not us. Paying an independent shop for work somebody else would have covered is a bad trade and we will say so.

Testimony

How the reviews on this site are handled

What customers said after a visit is published on the reviews page, all 37 of them, printed in full and averaging 4.3 out of 5. Every entry names the appliance, the fault and how the call ended, because a line that says only that somebody was pleased is worth nothing to a reader deciding whether to ring.

Nothing is trimmed to flatter the average. The entries that grumble about a slow part or a booking gone sideways stay on the page beside the rest, and the figure quoted there is the plain mean of the lot — the build fails if the two ever stop matching.

Beside them sits the almanac — write-ups of work actually done, with the water figures, the symptoms and the order the failures happen in. Judge the bench on whether that reads like someone who has had the panel off.

Reach

Where the van goes

St. Augustine and the rest of St. Johns County, within roughly 40 miles. There is no shopfront and no published street address, because there is nothing to visit — built-in cooking appliances get diagnosed in the cabinet run they were installed in. Half of what we find is about the installation rather than the appliance, and that is not visible on a bench.
