## Do you work on anything other than Wolf?

No. Coquina Hearth Service services Wolf cooking appliances and nothing else — ranges and rangetops, built-in wall ovens, cooktops, convection steam ovens, hoods and blowers, and built-in coffee systems. If you have another make in the kitchen we will say so on the phone rather than sell you a visit that ends in an apology.

## Are you connected to the manufacturer?

Coquina Hearth Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Wolf or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

## Then why work on one brand only?

Because the failure patterns repeat. A bench that sees the same sealed burner assembly, the same steam generator and the same blower housing every week recognises a fault from the description on the phone. Breadth would cost that, and there is no third party paying us to carry it.

## Can you handle refrigerant work?

EPA Section 608 certified technicians do any work involving refrigerant. Section 608 is the federal certification required to handle refrigerant. It is a technician credential, not a manufacturer endorsement.

## What does a visit cost?

$129, flat, whatever the appliance is and however long the fault takes to isolate. Flat $129 diagnostic, credited in full toward the repair if you go ahead with it. If you decide not to go ahead, the fee stands and you keep the written diagnosis, which is yours to take anywhere.

## Do I get a price before the work starts?

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour is billed. If a panel comes off and the fault is not what the estimate assumed, work stops and you get a revised number before it resumes. Nothing is ordered on a verbal maybe.

## Is there a charge for coming out on top of the fee?

Not inside our normal service area — 40 miles or so around St. Augustine. The $129 covers travel, inspection and the diagnosis. Beyond that radius we will quote the travel before you commit to anything.

## What if the appliance is not worth repairing?

We will tell you, with the part price that led to the conclusion. A written diagnosis that ends in "replace it" is still a useful document — it is the one thing that stops the next person selling you the same repair twice.

## What warranty comes with the work?

90 days on labour and 365 days on parts, from the date of the invoice. Genuine OEM parts only. If the same fault comes back inside the labour window, the return visit is not billed.

## Are the parts genuine?

Yes. Genuine OEM parts only. We do not fit pattern parts to these appliances: the tolerances on a sealed burner assembly or a steam generator are not the place to save twenty dollars.

## Can you carry out a manufacturer warranty repair?

No. Work under a manufacturer's own warranty has to go through the service network that manufacturer appoints, and we are not part of it. If your appliance is still inside the manufacturer's warranty period, call them first — paying us for work they would have covered is a waste of your money, and we will say so on the phone.

## When are you available?

Mon–Fri 8am–6pm · Sat 9am–4pm · Closed Sunday. Scheduled appointments only — there is no after-hours call-out and no emergency service, and we would rather say that plainly than take the booking and disappoint you at eight in the evening.

## What should I have ready when I call?

The model and serial number from the rating plate, a description of what the appliance does now, and what it did in the days just before it stopped. The serial number matters more than it sounds: several assemblies changed mid-production, so it is what decides which part is the right part and whether it is on a shelf or on order.

## My appliance failed after a storm. Is that related?

Very often, and not always on the day. This coast sees thunderstorms on the order of sixty-eight days a year, and the county has had multi-day outages after Matthew in 2016, Irma in 2017 and Helene in 2024. Electronics that survive the event can fail weeks later, so tell us the date of the outage even if the appliance worked afterwards — it changes where we start.

## Will you need to pull the appliance out?

Usually, yes. A built-in oven or range is diagnosed from the back and the underside: gas manifold, igniter leads, the control board and its harness are all behind or beneath it. Clear the run in front of the appliance before we arrive, and tell us if the floor is tile, timber or a finish you would rather we protect.

## Do you have a shop I can bring it to?

No, and there is no street address to publish. This is a mobile operation: built-in cooking appliances are diagnosed in the cabinet run they were installed in, because half the faults we find are about the installation rather than the appliance. Call +1 (904) 478-8963 and the van comes to the kitchen.
