On an oven that browns unevenly, the door comes before the electronics: gasket compression along all four sides, hinge tension, then convection fan direction and speed, then the probe. On a coffee system with short, slow shots, the grind goes first because it costs nothing to eliminate, then the brew unit worked by hand off the machine, then pump pressure under load, and only then the water path. The order is not a ritual.
